Customs clearance

Customs handled by the people whose names appear on the licence.

Twelve licensed Malaysian customs agents on our payroll, working out of Port Klang, KLIA and Pasir Gudang. Tariff classification, FTA preference and duty drawback are part of the relationship, not an extra invoice.

What we file

Every Malaysian customs declaration, including the awkward ones.

Our agents are licensed under the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) and process roughly 4,200 declarations a month. Every shipment file holds the working notes — so the next agent who picks up your account knows the history.

  • K1 — Declaration of dutiable imports.
  • K2 — Declaration of exports.
  • K3 — Inland import / export.
  • K8 — Declaration for goods in transit / transhipment.
  • K9 — Declaration for bonded movement.
  • JKDM 1 / JKDM 2 — Duty drawback and refund recovery.
  • SST (Sales & Service Tax) treatment and exemption filings.
  • Import / export licence applications (DAGS / SIRIM / DCA).

What's actually in the service

The work that prevents the surprise back-duty letter.

HS code review

Independent tariff classification by two agents on first import. Documented reasoning saved in the shipment file for future audit defence.

FTA preference filing

Eligible shipments filed under ASEAN, RCEP, CPTPP, MAFTA and MAANZFTA preference. Average duty saving in 2024: 6.2%.

Bonded transfers

K8 / K9 declarations for movement between bonded zones — PKFZ, Penang FIZ, Pasir Gudang — without triggering duty.

Duty drawback recovery

Quarterly review of duties paid on re-exported components. Recovered amounts credited back through formal JKDM filings.

Audit defence

Customs audit responses prepared and filed by the same agent who handled the original declarations. Continuity matters.

Permit applications

SIRIM, DCA, MITI and DAGS permit applications handled end-to-end, including liaison and follow-up with the issuing authority.

Where our agents work

Customs agents at the gate, not on a video call.

Customs is a relationship business. Our agents physically sit inside the Port Klang North Port complex, at KLIA Cargo Terminal A, and at the Pasir Gudang customs office.

This matters when a shipment needs a physical examination, a stamped amendment, or a personal explanation to a duty officer. Phone calls don't move stuck containers — agents standing at the counter do.
